On Tuesday, May 16, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra held its annual Audience of the Future/Side-by-Side Concert at Heinz Hall. For the concert’s first half, high school students from across the region met monthly to plan every aspect of the PSO’s performance, from the repertoire to the marketing to the lighting. Ten BHS music students were a part of the program this year. Additionally, BHS Sophomore trombonist D.J. Pickell was invited to participate in the concert’s second half: a side-by-side performance featuring our regions finest HS musicians paired with Symphony musicians. Congratulations to all! Thanks for representing BHS so well on the legendary Heinz Hall stage!
